His or Hers

I thought while showing you all what we ended up with while testing our new camera I would involve my first game. It is called his and hers. I want you all to tell me which pics are the ones I took (hers) and which ones Bryce took (his). some are easy some aren't so easy. Whoever gets the most right will get a prize, even if I have to ship it. Even if I don't know you, guess! It'll be lots of fun. I will close the guessing on wed. night and give you the answers/winner on Thursday! Good luck!

Taking the Plunge

We started discussing this last night. making the big decision.

Didn't get much sleep, tossed and turned all night long.

Woke up with eager anticipation, today is the big day.

I'm nervous.

Big Commitment.

Got showered, shaved my legs.

Put on my best make up, chose my best eye color to accentuate my best features.

Got in my best dress, found my favorite pair of shoes.

Oh the butterflies!

Drove to 'the place'

Took the Plunge.

Got strawberry frappachinno and pumpkin bread from Starbucks on the way home to celebrate.

We did it!

And in case you didn't catch on, we got our new DIGITAL CAMERA. I am excited! I get so flustered and nervous about loans, credit cards, and debt but I really am trying to build up some more credit. We took the plunge and I got it! Finally. Now 9 months of being tied down to a new commitment.

Sinful Apple Dumpling

Someone requested that I start working on my recipes again. Please let me know if you like them. I know everyone puts up recipes but I try to make mine super easy and healthy (with the exception of this one.) Feedback is awesome!

Sinful Apple Dumpling

2 Granny smith apples
2 can crescent rolls
2 sticks of butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
cinnamon
1 small can (8 oz or less) mountain dew

Peel and core the apple (I forgot to peal.. oops). Cut apples into 8 slices each. Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll. Place in a sprayed pan. Melt butter, then add sugar and barely stir. Add vanilla, stir, and pour over apples. Pour mountain dew around the edges of the pan. Sprinkle with Cinnamon and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve with ice cream (optional) and spoon some of the sweet sauces from the pan over the top.
Then go to confessions. Quickly

For my calories counters, I wont tell you the calories in these. Eat and enjoy then figure it out cough cough 285 cough cough

Dear Mr Squirrel

Dear Mr Squirrel,
I headed my way up to mirror lake to see you this weekend. It has been a while and I know I have abandoned my dear friend. Friday night was late and you must have been asleep. I didnt even hear you making your hunger pain cries. It was late and I was tired, I didn't think twice as I shut my eyes.
Saturday morning I heard you screaming for joy when you saw me. That or you were fighting over some hot girl that you have found since I last saw you. The minute I came out of my tent you ran away to frolic with your new found friends, I am sorry! I think back to the times when I was young. I would steal my dads hazelnuts and ride my bike around until I saw you. At the base of your home I would put a handful of the hazelnuts and leave. When I came back around the campground loop they would be gone. You seemed to like that because every time I came around you would be waiting. Although I have to say I don't think my dad was too much of a happy camper. He soon learned to buy more than just one bag, I never told him how they disappeared so fast.
This time I even had some Gourmet trail mix. by after noon you must've still been mad becsudr you wouldn't come around. I decided to head out for a gingerly walk around the lake hoping you would cool down a bit. I even gave your friend Ms. fish some raisin. She didn't like them too well because she spit them out as soon as I tried to feed them to her. I guess walmart brand doesnt count as gourmet. I lied.

I came back and saw you running around. I even put some at the base of your 'tree' but you were just not having it. I asked Bryce to keep an eye out while I went to go take a nap. The only thing I got out of it was a nice sunburn.

By evening I still had not seen you coming running to my presents that I left for you. Boy you must be mad! I thought I would even throw you out a chip, no such luck. Ok I lied again, I dropped a chip, but I had you in mind. By dinner time I decided to take another hike, maybe this time you would come out, I am leaving soon.

We got eaten alive out there by sir mosquito but saw some of the best picture perfect moment.

When I came back I didn't not see you but I did see your good friend lady chipmunk chomping away at the chip that was meant for you. I am sorry you didn't get to it first.

I waited up until the wee hours of the morning but you must've been exhausted. I am sorry that I didn't get to see you this time around. Sunday morning we left early for the mean park rangers were kicking us out. Maybe next time you will be oh so forgiving so I can see your cute little face. I will miss you.

Sincerely,
The lady who shouldn't have, but did

Thomas D Mangelsen

Last weekend when we were in Park City walking Main I saw this little shop. I am in the process of decorating the kitchen and soon after will be hitting the living room. I want it to be a warm inviting place. I am always keeping my eye out for things to use. Back to Main. I saw this little shop and it has the perfect photography to go into our living room! It is the photography of Thomas Mangelsen. I have always had a fascination with Gorillas/monkeys and when I saw the picture above I fell in LOVE! The pictures are outrageous in price so we went to lunch but I could not get my mind off of this picture. After lunch we went back in there, I did not get the framed picture but I did get a 5 x 11 card. I also got the one of the polar bears. $3, you cant beat that when the pictures are in the hundreds. I thought I would share some of his photography with you. If you would like to see more click here ** None of his photos are digitally enhanced. Everything you see is just as he took them.

Oh and sorry about the whole toilet girl post. I was in the moment, I will not delete it for that is who I am. Hopefully Karma wont kick me in the butt that hard for saying that

I've had a bad day

Dear Blog:

Have you ever had one of those days that just seem funny when you get up and as the day goes on you now know why you should've called in sick, stayed in your pajamas, watch a complete chick flick and not move a damn inch?

I'm having one of those days.

oh yeah and you remember
toilet girl??? I completely hate her. Yes I said hate. I am not the one to hate but at this very moment, yes. I hope karma comes back to bite her in the ASS. and hard!

My jaw is locked up (still).

Maybe now it will relax a little bit.

Thanks for listening.

Tom Hanks and Park City

Tom Hanks is a great actor, he is not my favorite actor but he is among my top 5. Did you know his birthday is July 9th (which happens to be last Thurs)? Happy birthday Tom! here are a few facts about him

  • He has been in many great movies like: A league of their own (my Favorite movie ever!), Cast Away, You've got mail, Davinci Code, Angels and Demons, Forest Gump and many more.
  • Is married to Rita Wilson and has been since 1988
  • Is related to Bill Cosby (by marriage)
  • Lost 30 pounds for his role in Philadelphia and then later gained 50 pounds for Cast away and had to lose the 50 pounds for the end of the movie.
  • Has 4 Children
  • was asked to play the role of Jerry McGuire.
  • Voted Best Actor in 1995
  • Shares a birthday with the one and only... Me

With that being said I thought I would pull in what has happened over the last week. (in case you don't know how this all comes together read the first paragraph of this post and the last fact about Tom Hanks)

Last Wednesday was a very hard day on me. I have been having a lot go on at work and as hard as I try to not bring it home, I am. My jaw is in severe pain from unintentionally clenching it. I am getting migraines and having a hell of a time breathing/relaxing/sleeping. I am getting very sick from it. Wed. night I came home and cried.. I eventually cried myself to sleep. Bryce had hit up the store for groceries seems how I have been lacking in that department.

Thursday I woke up in a severely bad mood. I didn't want to go into work I wanted to stay home and sleep, but needless to say I have to pay bills somehow right? I went out to my car to find pretty flowers in my front seat along with a bag, a gift, for me!

I have to be honest and say I have the greatest guy in the world! He had a card that I read that made me cry. It is very personal to me otherwise I would share it with you. In the (pink) bag was a new wii gave. The new wii Active. I am excited to try this game out. I went to work feeling a bit better but having my jaw locked up. My dear friends Jen and Kerri Also got me a gift filled with cute bags, a new recipes book 200 under 200: 200 recipes under 200 calories. Can you imagine breakfast cookies, raspberry swapachinnos, oh my! and a few gift cards.

At work they also bought me a Nothing Bundt cake:

I went home on Thurs. And there was another package for me. I couldn't open in until Bryce got home so I went and hit up a store to pick up a few things for our kitchen. I am in the process of decorating the kitchen, more pics to come when I have that complete. Back to the package: He finally got home and inside was these dang cute camo/bullet shoes I saw in a store and he had found them on the Internet and ordered them! (see the pic above). I am way excited!!! My day had to end. We ate dinner and attempted to relax.

Friday, We had our dear sweet friends spoil not only me but Bryce too with a night out. I didn't get any pics and I wish I would have take a camera because there were things you probably wouldn't see happen. We hit up the local Cheese Cake Factory for dinner where I got a yummy salad and yummy yummmmmy cheesecake and a bunch of people singing to me.

After dinner, They took us to Keys on main. I feel completely horrible because I got sick. I had been sick earlier at work and had come home to take some alieve and sleep it off but the tension in my jaw was still so bad that it had made me nauseated. We almost had to go home but I went to the restroom (multiple times) and started to feel better, and no I did not puke my dinner back up.

We headed in and had a blast!! I have never been to a piano bar but it was fun, even if you dont drink, to go in there and see the talent that these people have. I wish I could play the piano like they do. One day I will have my own piano in this house that I will be able to hammer away at to achieve that perfection. We had battles with songs (you pay money to play a song you like, the more money the sooner it will get played. If you don't like a song that is being played you can pay more money than the person who requested it to stop it) Brittany and Eddie thought it would even be cute and get me up there to 'Baby got back' instead there was a batchelorette party that they got up on stage to dance to. Needless to say I got the 'hokey pokey'. After much begging (ok I asked them once) they let me drag Brittany up there too. the typical: Right hand, left hand, right foot, left foot.. oh and to make it more interesting they did right boob.. yeah you got that right... my boob. Ok we all know I have a HUGE chest but even the piano players we LOVING IT, oh and Bryce said we got the most cheers of the night!!!!! but my chest didn't do it all. We had Brittany's booty that helped with it too. Way to go US!!!! This is definitely a place we will go back to just to have a good time. When we got home we crashed!

Saturday morning we woke up, Bryce had a day planned for me. We headed up to good old Park City. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Park City. It is the best place to go that is close. We had our 4 year 'anniversary' on sat so this was something to celebrate both my.. and my.. well you get it) He took me to lunch at the eating Establishment (just an OK place) and then we headed over to the Alpine slide Aka Park City Mountain resort.

All those little buildings are where you start off at.

We got day passes and spent the entire day up there. We got to do the alpine slide, Zip Line (which I almost pee'd my pants going on, literally) the alpine coaster, the maze, and much more. They even had a wedding going on up there, how sweet! the wedding party had to ride the tram to the top where they perform the wedding then they ride down the alpine slide. At this point it started to get way too windy and they had to shut down the zip line so we went over to the slide where the entire wedding party was. If it starts to rain you lose all brake capability you have on this slide. Just our luck that we start going down and it starts to rain.

The poor groomsmen hurt himself because he lost all brake capability and couldn't stop at the end, and the person who went down next to me (who happened to have his 2 to 4 year old son on his lap) crashed off the track. It was scary! but then the sun came out and dried up all the tears. We stayed up there until they decided it was time to close. I had a fun time and was sad to have it end. On the way down we hit dinner at squatters and got home after midnight. I didn't even take off my make up I went right to bed. Here are a few pics of the day's events

Alpine slide from the tram

Bryce, Getting ready for take off

This was me right before the raining incident.

We took a break and hit up rocky mountain chocolate factory. We got chocolate strawberry's, Chocolate Cherries and a Carmel apple.

Carmel Apple we got.

The Human Maze

Let me out!

On the lift.

Taking a break, how sweet!

At the end of the night, we stopped by a stand where a guy was doing caricatures. I thought it would be fun to mark up our anniversary with one of these. Overall the weekend was fun! I don't want it to end but all things must end at some point.

** I wished I would have gotten pics of the coaster and the zip line but you go so fast and if you drop something it is lost forever so I didn't want to lose our camera. Maybe next time

4 years and counting..

** Warning, there are TONS of pics**

This next weekend will be 4 years that me and 'my baby' will be together. The good the bad and well.. the good.

4 years.. who would've thought? In the 4 years we have been together we have been through it all. Ok maybe not.

Not only do I love this guy but I am IN LOVE with him. I could never ask for anyone better than him. He is my world and my life and I would do anything for him (and visa versa). He makes me happy, and most important is that he puts up with me and my 'antics'. ok enough rambling..
