What a weekend!
I cannot believe we are into December. I am ready for the snow! If it is going to be cold, it might as well be pretty not ugly. This past weekend I had a surprise birthday party for Bryce! I cant believe I pulled it off. There is always a little bit of drama surrounding stuff like this but I pulled through and kept it a surprise. On Saturday I told him that we had reservations for dinner. When we got to dinner, I thought he was far enough away when I told him I didn't have reservations but he wasn't! He seemed a bit irritated so I told him I did have reservation but I didn't say where... so again I quickly lied and told him I reservation for dessert. Whew! only he didn't eat very much because he thought we were going out for dessert. Oops! After dinner we headed over to Keys on Main to meet up with a few friends and his family. We had a blast! He was surprised! We didn't get home until 2 am. He kept saying 'thank you' and 'I cant believe you did this for me!' I am glad I was able to pull off this one thing and that he had a great '30th' bday party (even though his bday isn't until tomorrow). Sunday we woke up around 9 and decided we were going to lounge around. We stayed in our pj's and only left to go get junk food and movies. We took naps and watched movies all day yesterday. My house was a complete disaster when I left for work this morning but I didn't care... It was one of the greatest weekends for us! I was so sad to see it come to end, but it had to. This weekend goes down in the history books for us.

Something to celebrate for...
I am behind on my blogging! it is crazy at how time just flies. a few weeks ago we had a really low key birthday and anniversary. Things have been crazy with work so I didn't feel the desired to do anything big. I was spoiled... just like always. I got lots of gift cards, jewelry and other wants that I had. I even gave myself a gift a week late... I got my chair for hair!!! I am very excited!
For my birthday Bryce got me a diamond bracelet to match the earrings and necklace that he had purchased for other 'events'. He also took me to red butte gardens. I have been there before but he hasn't. It was such a nice day! at one point it did get a little hot but it didn't last long when the clouds took over. We also went to dinner at a barbecue place in taylorsville. The next day we did what we do best, riding. We went on a new trail and it was lots of fun! You can never go wrong with riding. Overall the weekend turned out great even though I am NOT a birthday person.

... And....
My goodness! Where has time gone??? It would be so much easier to update this thing if my computer was working properly. and now it is...
There is so much to update. December came and went so fast I don't think I managed to blink. This post will be an overload of pics. Next post will be about the great deal we got AFTER Christmas. I could care less about black Friday but when December 26th comes I am ready. So hang on tight and here we go....
Early in the month of December, after we decorated the house and trimmed the tree we kicked off the Christmas season with making gingerbread houses. I didn't get any pictures during the process but here is the ending result:

During the month of December we always attend the 'lighting of the candles' This is at the cemetery where my best friend is at. It always tends to be on her birthday or within a day of her birthday. We always stop and leave her some flowers. This year we were running really late and due to the rain/snow the majority of the candles were out but I still tried to get a picture. After that we decided to head over to Christmas Tree Lane to help get in to the Christmas spirit. Here are just a few pics:

This Christmas was our first Christmas alone! There was much anticipation. It was very exciting for us. We usually have a full house for 3 days (and nights) straight. It was really nice to have our alone moments. For Christmas Eve we did a candle lit dinner. After dinner we did chocolate fondue and watch Christmas Vacation (A tradition). Our 'traditions' are still evolving...

and here is the recipe... You are welcome!!! (for those who are worried about the alcohol, you don't have to use it. It is just as good without)

Christmas morning we woke up bright and early (can't you tell in the first picture???) I am such the kid in the relationship! but this year Bryce was up before me... It was really nice to spend the morning opening gifts together and going back to bed...

After a relaxing morning we headed to Aunt Eileens house to open more gifts. I didn't take any pictures and I didn't stay long. I made my first ham this year so I had to come home to finish dinner. Later in the afternoon everyone came back to the house to enjoy a yummy dinner and open even more gifts.

After all of the Christmas celebration we had Grandma's 80th birthday. Since you only turn 80 once in your lifetime we had to throw a surprise party. Oh boy was she surprised, she was like a giddy school girl!

The holidays were busy but they were fun. Now here is to things slowing down...

Green with Envy

Where the heck have I been??? I have to be honest and say my life has been pretty boring for the last month or so. I have had finals for school, Christmas shopping and now I have a 3 week break from school in which I am trying to catch up on all of the hair that I have neglect on my loved ones. I decided I have had enough of a cluttered bedroom where I cant relax at night when I get home from long hours of work. I have been jealous of all of those who have really nice bedrooms. I feel a bedroom should be ones' sanctuary that has hidden secrets that cant be told. I am green with envy.
so I am remodeling! We have taken out all the crap out of the room (Including the computer!!!) and we are starting fresh. Bryce nor I have ever had a bedroom set so we have been searching high and low for some. we found our dressers now we need to just find out bed. I am hoping our next place will be the lucky one and we will find what we are looking for. As for right now I have an empty room with carpet pulled up and a bed in the middle touching no walls so my wall can dry... It is the color you see above. I will hopefully get the rest of the 3 walls painted tomorrow that will be a nice warm cocoa color that isn't too dark. Wish me luck!

Happy Birthday Twin!!!!
I have some of the greatest friends ever! I cant believe it has been a short 9 months since I met Brit but we have come to the conclusion we were separated at birth. From our thoughts on the twilight book, how we hold our pens, our taste in clothes.. although she is more daring than I would be to our past experiences in life. We can talk for hours.. literally. Call each other up to cry.. you name it we do it together. She is one of my greatest friends and will be for the rest of my life. Happy birthday Brittany!!!!!!
