Busy, Busy, Busy

This weekend we found ourselves busy. Friday I had to work late and came home to our last day of having the house to ourselves. Bryce's mom was out of town so we have enjoyed the week of being home alone.
Saturday morning I get an early morning nudge by my wonderful man. He found our 'baby'. He also had a paintball game that he was heading up to so I figured I would hit up a few stores. That was a mistake, I was LATE to everything on Sat. oops.
My cute nephew Garrett was baptised in the afternoon. I was late to arrive, early to leave. My brother was a bit disappointed that I didn't stay for the lunch (I did, but it took them 40 minutes to even get it going, I had to leave!). Every time my family bails on him and this time was no different. It was only me and my other Brother who stayed. I took my camera out to get pics but I was so busy trying to help with the food that I failed miserably!
I got home and we got ready to head over to Destiny's wedding. This would be my new found friend, Brittany's sister. I have become quite fond of her sister and am looking forward to the new friendship that I have found. She is so very different than Brittany but just in the same in other ways. We completely missed the ceremony but were able to have dinner and hit up the dance floor. The bride was beautiful, the food was awesome, the toast was AMAZING.. sniff sniff, I am sad that these things don't happen often enough. It is so hard to think that a year ago Bryce's sister had her reception and we found ourselves in our wedding attire once again that we had wore only a short year ago. we boogied the night away.

Brittany, Destiny, and Me

Eddie, Brittany, Me and Bryce.. we matched her colors!

Once we got home, it was late and we were tired but we had to go pick up our new baby. We are a bit disappointed that we wont be able to take this thing out for a few weeks but we are counting down the days that we do! I present to you baby Hardman.

As of right now, Bryce's mom is home, the house is cleaned, Make-up is worn off, shoes put away, and the dressed pressed in the closet for the next time that I will be able to pull it out again. I am exhausted and now I have to think of the next weeks events.. 2 teenagers, 1 sassy 8 year old girl going on 18, 1 partner in crime, 4 hours drive, equals me with 4 'kids' and insanity... I think I am going to go CRAZY..

Weddings, food and early morning

Its the weekend and what a better way to start it off by posting on my blog! This last week was the first week that I got to sit at home and do NOTHING! It was great. Thursday night I crashed at 5:30 in the evening and did not wake up until 5 the next morning. I think I was coming down with something, or my body just needed to relax. That was a great sleep! Friday morning I had another wedding to do. I was kind of disappoint at first but I had a really good talk with the bride. She was extremely happy with the way things turned out. She is a super cute girl.

I have been doing alot of red heads lately. The last 2 girls had alot of hair and we had to hide alot of it. Jessica likes to talk and she is a person who cant keep still. I had to learn to move with her. It turned out great and both her and her mom were happy with how it turned out. Her dress was BEAUTIFUL too! (which she got at angel's (wedding) dresses)

Not only did I do the hair but her mom asked me to take some shots of her on her now husbands motorcycle. they did not have a photographer. As much as I tried to talk them into in, they were just not having it. It all started with the consult when her mom had me take a few shot of her in her dress. I am no photographer and they knew it but I felt like we got some good shots. She is a cute girl with lots of personality, oh did I mention I grew up down the street from her?? There is no way she is old enough to get married! That just mean I am getting old... haha! Over all the wedding was a huge success, I love being involved as much as I was with this one. I feel like I am accomplishing things. I am definitely not the greatest but I think I have some great ideas.

Congrats Jessica and Phill!!!!!!

Oh and I made a new recipe called baked penne, it is the basic but Bryce LOVED it! and it came out of my handy dandy book that I have been raving so much about. I hope you guys will like it as much as we did.

Oh and here is another mothers day photo. Grandma had a brunch at her place that she is residing and we were able to attend. It was a awesome brunch. Everyone in the home care center had their family there.. it was really nice.

Wedding Hair

Well I guess here is my chance to show off something that I LOVE DOING and I THINK I am good at but I have to say that I am a bit disappointed how these turned out. Usually I am really excited about the hair and go to grab my camera and realize I have forgotten it. Sound familiar?
I am beyond bummed out with these but in my defense I DID NOT HAVE A CONSULT! usually I will get in a consultation with the bride before the day of the wedding/bridals in which I will actually go through with them their wants and desires and then I will actually do the hair, make sure the veil fits and it is everything she wants, see if there are any changes etc.
I received this call on Tuesday night about the bridals for Friday and the wedding for sat. I unfortunately could not get off work on such short time notice for Friday but I was able to haul my butt out of bed at 5:30 in the morning on Saturday, this was a VERY EARLY morning wedding here.
I guess I am fishing for compliments to make me feel better about the situation (think positive, the bride didn't scream in horror!)

the bride without the veil (she looks blond here huh?)

this girl is only 12 and man does she have a head of hair on her! it is thick!

A side view (yes that is a criss cross pattern I put in her hair, all the way around. I had to think quick!)

this cute little girl is only 7 and she was a doll! I wanted something that could hold in while she ran around.

I wanted to add a flower to the side of this but she was not having it.

All in all it was fun and they turned out adorable, although I am still disappointed in myself. they came out well considering the circumstance. Now do I throw the check away because this isn't my greatest work? I don't know, opinions please?

Congrats Chelsea on your wedding! I hope you have a fun-filled day with memories that you will cherish for a life time!
