The dark and dirty side **post note

I am really trying to be more on top of things this semester, with that I guess it is due time for my goals for this year. My first goal is to finish school. Every semester something has come up or gotten in the way of me finishing school. This semester is no different. I have one really messed up teacher who thinks it is ok to not answer emails or call you back. It has left me frustrated, not registered for a class and Hating myself for emailing her boss about it :( oh well right?? I gotta get this done. My next goal is to take my state boards for my license! I am terrified! I know with lots of hard work from Myself, Bryce and my friends I will be able to do so. This is the year that I would like to get my life completely back on track. I have been working 5 1/2 long hard years and it is time to be complete the path so I can enjoy life a little bit more with Bryce. He is working very hard to finish our house and even made a deal with me to not let him work on it during the summer when we should be out camping, hiking and BBQ with family and friends. He is now working eagerly hard while I am in school to finish the utility room and food storage (almost done!!!), basement living room, garage and deck (those are almost done too!) and the upstairs bathroom (blah). Wish us luck.. some days we will need it. Our bedroom is almost complete. I ran out of money (stupid tuition... stupid books...) I promise promise promise to get that completed as soon as I have some free money (anyone need haircuts to support the 'Sam is broke for the moment fund'????????) ok now I am rambling...
Bryce has for the first time every decided to not wash his face. Kind of a shock to those who see him often. The time has come for him to finally clean his face! I like his facial hair but I like his baby face. Take a look....

I also decided to throw a bit of a curve ball out there... presenting...

ok that is all you get for now. In case you cant tell (because my hair is still wet from the shower) I went dark... as dark as they come. Welcome to the dark and dirty side.

** Post note. I have one more goal! One more that I think we can all commit to and succeed. I have been trying very hard to NOT do this since the end of October but I have slipped up so now that I have it out in the open means I CANT do it anymore. Texting while driving. I am a severe offender of this but I have tried really hard not to since I was shown a video of what can happen when you text while drive. It was Disturbing but I made myself finish it and it brings back memories of that video every time I open my phone and I am driving. So if you don't hear back from me when you text me I am most likely driving... or I am ignoring you.

New Recipe.. I'm slacking

I am really trying hard, now that school is starting back up, to not abandon my blog. No promises but I will try (for those 3 blog followers that I have!) I thought I would post another one of my super easy recipes in lieu of school starting up again and not having much time. On Tues and Wed nights I will have barely enough time to run home to eat dinner with my handsome man then run back to fill my brain jam packed with state rules and regulations. Fun stuff. Here is my version of Pan Fried..

2 chicken breast cut into cubes and cooked to your preference (or you can go super easy and use a rotisserie chicken)
3 Knorr Vegetables bullion
1/2 of white onion
1 package of frozen mixed veggies of your choice
1 packs of rice noodles/sticks
soy sauce

I boil my chicken with chicken bullion but you can cook your chicken in the wok if you would like to keep this meal to one dish (less cleaning!). Put aside... When you start your chicken you will want to put your rice sticks into hot water in a bowl and let them soak. Before you add to the dish you are going to want to cut them up in half.

Chop Onion into smaller pieces. Heat up wok add a dab of oil (veggie or olive) add onion and half of one veggie bullion. saute onion and add in frozen veggies. When veggies are warm add in chicken, cook for 4 minutes. take a half cup of water and dissolve the rest of the bullion. Add in noodles to the wok along with the bullion. Cook for 3 more minutes until the bullion is dissolved. add a splash of soy sauce to taste. Enjoy!

Now I get the maifun noodles at walmart. At harmons they are 4.00 for a bag and walmart they run about 2.00 a bag. If you have an Asian store close to you go there and get some. They are about a 1.00 a bag for a bigger bag. It doesn't have to be maifun brand but I like them so I stick with them.

I also use Knorr (de pollo) Vegetable bullion. I LOVE the knorr chicken, beef, and veggie bullion. It seems to have the best flavor. Sorry the picture is blurry. you can find this at harmons, walmart, winco or any other grocery store.

As I said I just boil the chicken and then cube the chicken afterwards
Yum, Yum, Yum!!!!

*after note: Our room is almost completed! I am super excited. I just need to get my pictures back up on the wall and wait for my curtains to be returned (I paid someone to sew them just os I didnt have to deal with them! I can not sew a straight line if my life depended on it!) I will post pics as soon as I have them back. For those who saw my room before the revamp I am oh so sorry! I am excited for the big reveal!!!!!

A new year, A new beginning...

I am not one to make new years resolution until the 3 week into the year so I will follow up in a couple of weeks. I am still thinking about what I would like mine to be this year. Last year it was to drink more water and to overall obtain a goal to be healthier. I did go back to the gym and I did drink lots more water, and i even joined weight watchers in November. I felt like I completed my new years resolution! The only problem with make a resolution before Jan 1st is that I never live up to it, so that is the reason why I wait 3 week... I know I am retarded. Stay tuned for that!

This past week I had the opportunity of getting my butt kicked in snow shoeing.. with 2 guys. My little cheerleaders... More on that. When we got down from the mountain on Sunday I had several missed calls. I knew that my dad's brother was not doing so well and I knew the inevitable had happened. I called my family back to find out that he has passed on. I am excited for this happy occasion of him being reunited with a son, a brother, his parents and several other. I am also happy that he isn't in pain. The past 8 years for my uncle has not been the easiest. How can one be so happy yet so sad? I cried all of Sunday and Monday. I didn't want to talk about it. We went up to Idaho on Thursday night for the viewing and what a joyous moment to meet up with some of the most important people of my life. Some that I have not seen in many years and some new additions that I know will join the force of supporters for me in my decisions in life. I couldn't cry, I couldn't be sad. He had a great, full life! Friday was the funeral... -12 degrees at 10:00 in the morning is not what I call fun in a dress! I came home late Friday night and crashed. Today it is still hard to loose someone so great! I will miss my uncle and I will miss my "Hi sweetie!!!" with a big hug that I got everytime I saw him. I am thankful that this year I was able to attend my family reunion and see him one last time. I will always remember this man...

Aug 2009

Ok now back to the snow shoeing. This was our first adventure, we had lot of fun! I was sore, it was cold but needless to say I made it to the top with my little cheerleaders cheering me on (and being very patient might I add!)! I am excited that I was able to accomplish this with both my man and our friend. I would highly suggestion this to anyone who loves the outdoors. It may be cold when you start but it wont be for long. Here are a few picture to enjoy...

Pimp, Ho, and Trash

Man I know by that title I will be losing some readers but hang in there for a second, it is not what you think...

The past few days everyone has been in a whirlwind on magic for the holidays. As we were shopping for Debbie's gift we came upon a decision that Bryce and I had to face. Samsung or that other brand. I told Bryce hands down it would be samsung. When he asked why I said "I am a samsung hore" don't take that wrong.. let me explain.

I have had many many samsung products that have been awesome. You hold up anything that is samsung and 'that other brand" I don't care if it was a million dollars more samsung would win. It is not because it is partly my name it is because I have had good experiences with it and it has never failed me. Now on the other hand, I trash Motorola. I hate Motorola and I have a Motorola phone I want to throw up against the wall. It is pink and it was a gift so I love it for only that reason...

Flash forward a few days later and we are at Christmas day opening up gifts. Nikki got this nice expensive blow dryer and flat iron along with various hair products. She asked what I thought...
I am a schwarzkopf hore (pronounces sh-wart-cough) I LOVE LOVE LOVE osis sherbet wax spray. Dumb company stopped making it and now I am mad. I would talk this product up all the time! I totally trash matrix product line (except their color line.. I love that!) Since they stopped making it I have become a fan of this...
I am in love with this product . It is called its a 10! It smells good and works great..

Now to the point.. I would like to know what you are a pimp, ho or trash talker of. It can be a specific brand of clothes, hair care line, electronics, body product.. you name it, just tell me I would like to see what you like/hate...

Green with Envy

Where the heck have I been??? I have to be honest and say my life has been pretty boring for the last month or so. I have had finals for school, Christmas shopping and now I have a 3 week break from school in which I am trying to catch up on all of the hair that I have neglect on my loved ones. I decided I have had enough of a cluttered bedroom where I cant relax at night when I get home from long hours of work. I have been jealous of all of those who have really nice bedrooms. I feel a bedroom should be ones' sanctuary that has hidden secrets that cant be told. I am green with envy.
so I am remodeling! We have taken out all the crap out of the room (Including the computer!!!) and we are starting fresh. Bryce nor I have ever had a bedroom set so we have been searching high and low for some. we found our dressers now we need to just find out bed. I am hoping our next place will be the lucky one and we will find what we are looking for. As for right now I have an empty room with carpet pulled up and a bed in the middle touching no walls so my wall can dry... It is the color you see above. I will hopefully get the rest of the 3 walls painted tomorrow that will be a nice warm cocoa color that isn't too dark. Wish me luck!
In other news, today is my best friends birthday. I miss her terribly, last night we went to the 'lighting of the candles' at the cemetery. They light a candle for every grave and it is really neat to see hundreds of candles lite. I didn't get any pictures but both Bryce and I stopped at her grave and wished her a happy birthday a day early. If you would like to read my last moments with her and her story click here . In case I am not on here before Christmas I wish you all a wonderful holiday! Merry Christmas!

New Moon

ok I figured everyone else would be talking about New Moon so its my turn to brag. This past weekend I went to New Moon.. twice. I LOVED it! I didn't care for the first one but let me tell you this one has me back on the wagon. I have never seen a movie twice before in the theatre but here is a first. I had the chance to go see an early screen (6:00) on Thurs with all the girls I love. It was nice to skip school and have a fun girls night out. I didn't think they would allow me to take in the camera to the theater so I left it in the car. After the movie we all went out to dinner to talk about the movie. On Sunday I also went again with Bryce and his family. yes, Bryce went and so did Julian. Anyone wanna go see it again? thanks girls for a fun night out! Below are some pics we took at dinner...

Some of the girls who went to the movie.

My man.....

It has been known that lately I have been MIA in life. I work, go to school, study, eat, sleep and on rare occasion I shower. I have left the house needs in Bryce's hands for the most part. I love him for it too! Weekends are a time for me to enjoy myself, relax, curl up with a book, watch a movie and if I can help it no homework is done on weekends. Over the past few weekends mostly this one I have found myself gearing up for Christmas, my favorite holiday. I got my Christmas list together which I plan on doing 90% of the shopping next sat. I am starting to pull out decorations, we went looking for a Christmas tree. This year I also told Bryce I didn't want to go over to see my family on Christmas. The feeling is dead there. It is not the same, I miss my family but I am realizing more and more each day that it is just.... DOA. example below. This was posted on face book with the title "Sisters".. yet I was there and I am no where to be seen and no I am not behind the camera.. Oh look it is ruth, aimee, amber, lynn and a family friend that they 'adopted' as a sister... nice.

I asked Bryce for his opinion on traditions. I think this year we are going to try to help a family in need along with that my family has HUGE traditions for Christmas eve. I would like to keep that going but in a different sense. Instead of the pizza, games, put the kids to be so we can wrap presents thing we decided we are going to do fondue and spritz cookies. last weekend we got to try fondue for the first time. We got our hands wet so to speak. Spritzer cookies are a tough one.. you have the flour so this weekend we decided to try them with artificial flour and see how they turn out for Bryce. We also decided to keep up with the tradition that my man is also dipping his hands into cooking so I suckered him in to helping.. no breaks on the weekend. here is the result...

Lets take a little bit closer look....
I am a bit worried now how he makes dinner when I am not home.

Ok so I was a little lazy on running back down stairs to get the camera to take a picture of the final master piece (which is really what it was) but let me tell you that they were YUMMY and I completely threw my diet out the door as I devoured the first batch that came out of the oven. I am glad they turned out and now... we have a new Christmas tradition.
